~~Perfect~~ not hardly!!

Don't you just love how the media portrays celebrities, and the wealthy as the definition of perfection! Now I don't know about you, but I don't think that girls flashing whats between their legs, going to jail, and doing drugs comes any where near the definition of perfection! Because of all the media attention and stereotypes, us teenage girls suffer from self esteem issues. We think we are too fat so we make our self sick to fit their perfect image. We find ourselves unappealing and feel the need to cake the makeup on our faces when we looked perfectly fine before the concealer,mascara,eye shadow, eye liner and such! Our hair is too straight, too curly, too poofy when in all reality you look beautiful! No matter how hard any of us try we will never be perfect. There is no such thing as perfection! Why?? Because everyone has different opinions of what perfection actually is!! We all see these stick thin models with big hair and perfect make up, and we set our expectations of beauty way too high! You can still look great without overdoing yourself! Let's take stereotypes for example. In high school whether you are a jock, a popular princess, emo,smart,goth etc. everyone always thinks the cheerleaders and football players are perfect....WRONG!!! Mirrors....a reflection of ones self. Everytime we walk past one we dont look at the positives in our self...we look at the flaws! Next time you look at your self make a list of your positive aspects and flaws. If the flaws out number the beauty then you are looking at not only yourself, but the world all wrong! Remember that next time you see beauty in your reflection! We are all beautiful. Just beautiful little misfits =)
